Owed (“we”, “us”), operating at whatsowed.com, helps TikTok Shop sellers find and recover money their shop is owed. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it the way we write everything: plainly.

What we collect

Your email address, when you join the waitlist or create an account, so we can contact you about your audit and your account.

Your shop’s business records, only after you explicitly connect your shop, and only through TikTok’s official API with read-only permissions. This includes orders, settlement statements and their line items, payout records, returns and refunds, shipping and tracking records, and seller-support correspondence relevant to your orders. We never receive your TikTok password. We do not collect your buyers’ payment card details — TikTok does not expose them and we would not want them.

Payment details for our own fee, if you choose to recover money through us: card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not on our servers. We keep only a reference token and the billing history of our fees.

Basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) generated when you use the site, kept for security and debugging.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers required to run Owed: cloud hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, and our payment processor (for our own fees). Each receives the minimum necessary and is bound by its own contractual obligations. We will disclose information if validly required by law, and we will tell you when we are permitted to.

How long we keep it

Shop records are kept while your shop is connected, and for 90 days after you disconnect — long enough to resolve open claims and final billing — after which they are deleted, including our raw archived copies. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask to be removed or the waitlist closes. Billing records are kept as long as law requires.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Shop access tokens are additionally encrypted at the application layer. Access inside Owed is least-privilege and logged.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you or your shop, correct it, export it, or delete it. Disconnecting your shop can be done in one click inside the product, and revoking our access can also be done from your TikTok seller settings — both work immediately. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking pixels.

Who this service is for

Owed is for business use by sellers aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email account holders and note the new date above. The current version always lives at this address.
